Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor degree courses in Animation, VFX and multimedia is one of the most searched categories of animation courses in India. Cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Delhi are in top list. You can find many reputed colleges in these cities since they are closely connected to animation and entertainment companies so that you can get internship opportunities and good placements too. A bachelor course in animation includes branches like visual art, multimedia, game art and game design, game development, web design, graphic design, and video production. It is good to join a programme where you can get chance to explore all these areas. Popular UG degree programmes are as follows- BVA Animation and Multimedia, B.Sc. Animation, BA Animation, B.Sc. Game Development, B.Sc. Game Design, BA Multimedia, B.Sc. Graphic Design, B. Des, B.Sc. Film MakingDuration of any bachelor animation course can be 3 to 5 years. Selection criteria varies from university to university. Maximum colleges conduct their entrance exam or live interview to select the students. Students who have cleared their 10 2 from any recognised Indian or Foreign Education Board can apply for the admission. Normally percentage of 12th class have no major impact on the selection but good artist skills or drawing knowledge can be a plus in the selection process. Many reputed Animation and VFX colleges in India charge 1L to 3L per annum.

Master Degree Programmes

Master programmes of Animation need a student graduated from same stream or poses required basic skills to join the course. Some universities conduct entrance exam. Duration of these master courses can be 2 to 4 years. A post graduate course in Animation or VFX can cost somewhere around 3L to 5L per annum.
